Instructions:
1 - Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water and juice every day to help relieve nausea and vomiting. Nausea is a common side effect of chemotherapy. To help relieve stomach upset, eat crackers or bread with juice and water.
2 - Avoid public places and crowds. With your weakened immune system, your body is less able to fight against germs, colds or flu. If this can not be avoided, wear antibacterial wipes and put hand sanitizers. Wash your hands throughout the day, especially after touching crowded places or public toilets.
3 - Strengthen your immune system through exercise. Walking or light exercise blood flow and promotes a healthy immune system. The endorphins that are released during exercise to help heal the body and mind. Eating fruits and vegetables and whole grains to give the body the necessary nutrients that were depleted during chemotherapy.
4 - Avoid alcohol and cigarettes. These substances do not promote a healthy immune system and a healthy liver. Liver function should be fully operational to help the body recover during chemotherapy.
