The
chemotherapy is to fight against cancer intravenously or by mouth. It is effective when the breast cancer cells have spread beyond the first production area. Although radiotherapy is often used when cancer cells are still localized and contained within a limited area, chemotherapy attack malignant cells that have spread into other sectors.
Instructions:
1 - Be aware that chemotherapy is a systemic treatment for Breast Cancer . Unlike surgery, chemotherapy can affect the whole body. That is why it is used to kill cancer cells that are detached from the main tumor.
2 - Anticipate side effects! The most common side effect is extreme fatigue. Other side effects include hair loss, loss of appetite, temporary decline in memory function and nausea. Due to the severity of these side effects, your daily activities should be reduced during chemotherapy.
3 - Review the possibility of permanent side effects. Maybe you can not get pregnant after receiving chemotherapy. Some women experience early menopause and heart problems.
4 - Talk to your doctor about the possibility of new treatments, such as high dose chemotherapy with a stem cell transplant. This form of treatment is only available through clinical trials and best suited for cases where regular doses of chemotherapy are not likely to be effective.
5 - Know that you have a network Global Support. Survivors of breast cancer and volunteers are everywhere and love to share their stories, compassion and understanding. It is a disease that is under the spotlight, you'll surment friends to help you during your recovery.
