How to break some myths about breast cancer

Many women are so safe that breast cancer could never happen to them relying on some myths. Take a look at these myths to make sure that you do and not be fooled. This article may save you unnecessary pain and may even save your life!

Myth # 1: THERE is no way to have breast cancer if no one has had breast cancer in my family.
Reality: No matter whether or not there is a history of breast cancer in your family. One in 8 women and 1 in 1000 people are living with cancer within .

Myth # 2: When a woman discovers a lump on his within , only eight of these women are diagnosed with breast cancer. So why does she bother to check? After all, she probably would not have cancer.
Reality: Too many women believe in this myth. Many doctors have also ruled out the sign of a bump as they wrongly assumed it was another one of those six of eight benign lumps. Then, when the woman has a biopsy, it would be too late. She was already at an advanced stage of breast cancer.

Myth # 3: You had a lump on his chest a few years ago and you have removed surgically, it was benign. Otherwise you'll bump the future would probably be too mild.
Reality: Just because a lump was benign does not mean they will all be benign.

Myth # 4: You know some women who had a lump that turned out to be a cyst that needed to be drained. Afterwards, the breasts returned to normal. You assume that if you find a lump, it will be the same for you. Because of your busy schedule, you decide there is no need to rush to the doctor to check. You'll make an appointment later rained, but not soon.
Reality: A breast biopsy is the only way to know if your lump is a cyst requiring drainage or malignant breast disease. If you have a malignant cancer, you need to rush to check before cancer cells spread beyond your breast to your lymph nodes to other parts of your body, or in the bloodstream.

Myth # 5: If you have a rash or a dimple on your chest, you probably just a kind of infection.
Reality: A rash and / or a dimple may actually be symptoms of advanced breast cancer.

Information on pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic cancer is a disease that affects the tissue of the pancreas, which is the body-shaped fish found in behind the lower part of the stomach that is responsible for manufacturing and secretion of hormones and enzymes important to digestion. Pancreatic cancer spreads rapidly and is seldom detected in its early stages.

Types of pancreatic cancer
The pancreas itself is about six inches long and two inches wide. It has two types of glands known as exocrine and endocrine glands. Exocrine gland produces a variety of enzymes that are capable of breaking down proteins and fats in the body. Pancreatic endocrine cells produce hormones like insulin, which decreases the rate of glucose (simple sugar) in blood. Both are subject to pancreatic cancer, but the disease is more prevalent in exocrine pancreatic cells. Cancer that develops in the ducts of the organ is called adenocarcinoma, while cancer of the endocrine pancreas - cancer of the endocrine system - is extremely rare.

Symptoms
Unfortunately, the signs of pancreatic cancer usually does not occur until the disease is advanced. The location of the pancreas can not find the tumors. Among the warning signs of pancreatic cancer found jaundice. This is a yellowing of the skin and eyes of a person, but jaundice can be caused by other conditions such as liver disease. Pain in the upper abdomen that makes its way in the back is a symptom of pancreatic cancer - such as weight loss and fatigue with a lack of appetite. Problems with the digestive process can lead to nausea and vomiting. The gallbladder may swell, and some people with pancreatic cancer may develop diabetes.

People at risk
There are certain factors that increase the chances of contracting cancer of the pancreas. Although the disease affects men and women at the same pace, it occurs more often among blacks than among white subjects. "The American Cancer Society puts the chances of getting cancer of the pancreas to 1 / 76, obese people and those with a family history of the disease more than others. Smokers also tend to develop this type of cancer, and the elderly are more at risk than young people, with most cases occurring among persons aged over 70 years.

Salaries
Surgery is an option for treating pancreatic cancer. However, once the disease has made its way to other organs or lymph system, it is usually not possible. The removal of tumors of the pancreas requires taking large portions of the pancreas along with the diseased parts. Radiation therapy uses powerful x-rays to kill cancer cells and chemotherapy that uses the same drugs are often together to try to deal pancreatic cancer. Targeted therapy uses drugs designed specifically to prevent cancer cells from reproducing is also a possible treatment. However, prospects for a normal person with pancreatic cancer are very low.

Questions about bladder cancer

The bladder cancer is often associated with men. However, women who are diagnosed with bladder cancer often find that the disease is more advanced than it is for men. Bladder cancer is serious and should not be ignored. In many cases, treatment this type of cancer includes surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Often, the bladder is removed, and a bag of the stoma is necessary to collect urine and feces.

What is cancer of the bladder?
bladder cancer is a serious cancer that affects the bladder. The bladder is the organ in the body that contains and stores urine until it is ready to be eliminated from the body. As the urine is collected, the bladder expands and grows. Once enough pressure is being felt, the body naturally wants to eliminate urine and urination occurs. Approximately 7,000 people are diagnosed with bladder cancer each year and about 600 of these people die.

What are the symptoms of bladder cancer?
According to research conducted in the USA, the most common symptoms of bladder cancer include blood in urine, painful urination, a feeling of burning when urination and the urge to urinate more frequently than normal. Although only one of these symptoms may or may not be an indicator of the presence of bladder cancer, urinary problems in general must be checked by a doctor. Blood in urine and burning sensations in urinating is also common with urinary tract infections, painful urination and may be a symptom of a bladder infection. Frequent urination can cause other bladder problems. How

bladder cancer is different in women than in men?
bladder cancer in women is often diagnosed much later than men. This means that the disease has progressed much more often in women than in men it was at diagnosis. Consequently, women are more likely to require radical treatment and intensive, often including surgical removal bladder, because the disease can drown the body and can also spread to other places in the body.

What are the stages of bladder cancer?
There are four stages of bladder cancer. The first step is the starting point of cancer and includes dissemination of the tumor in the bladder wall, but not in the muscle wall. Second step indicates that the cancer has spread into the muscular wall of the bladder, but not in surrounding tissues or lymph nodes . Phase III shows that the tumor has spread not only to the muscular wall of the bladder, but also in surrounding tissues of the prostate or uterus. Fourth step indicates that the cancer has invaded the muscular wall of the bladder, the surrounding tissue and lymph nodes of the body.

How do you treat bladder cancer?
The first route of treatment is usually surgical. The degree of surgery is determined by the stage of cancer, it can be radical: the potential removal of the entire bladder and surrounding tissues such as prostate, uterus and ovaries. Other aspects of treatment are radiotherapy and chemotherapy targeted. Once treatment is completed, most people with bladder cancer continue to see their urological oncologist every three months for follow-up examinations during the first two years and every six months for years to prevent recurrence of the disease.

Some information on liver cancer

The liver is the largest organ in the human body, is located in the right side of the abdomen and is responsible for the production of enzymes and bile acids that help digest food in order to convert them into substances needed by the body, and eliminate harmful substances from the bloodstream. Because there is no cure against advanced liver cancer, early diagnosis and treatment are essential to avoid death! Know the symptoms and risk factors for liver cancer, and receive regular checkups is key to "catch up" with liver cancer before it spreads to other organs of the body.

Types of primary liver cancer is cancer that originates in the liver, while the secondary liver cancer is a tumor associated with cancer cells from another area of the body. Both types of cancer can occur in children and adults and both are potentially fatal. The majority primary liver cancers start in liver cells called "hepatocytes." When liver cancer starts in these cells, it is called hepatoma or hepatocellular carcinoma. Liver cancer can spread, or metastasize, in remote areas of the body or to lymph nodes neighbors. Primary liver cancer is less common than secondary liver cancer.

Risk Factors Although the exact cause of liver cancer is unknown, some people are at increased risk of developing liver cancer, including those with chronic liver infection, such as hepatitis B or C. cirrhosis of the liver is another risk factor for liver cancer, and about 5 percent of people diagnosed with cirrhosis eventually develop liver cancer. Other risk factors include exposure to aflatoxin M1, a family member with cancer, be aged over 60 and male. The more risk factors a person is high, there will be more likely to develop liver cancer.

Identification
The early stages of liver cancer often cause no symptoms, but when the cancer grows or spreads, symptoms may develop and become increasingly severe. Pain in the right upper abdomen, which may extend to the back or shoulders, and weight loss are two of the most common symptoms. Other symptoms include a swollen abdomen, loss of appetite and feeling full when the stomach is empty, fatigue, weakness, nausea, vomiting, fever and jaundice. Signs of jaundice (eyes and yellow skin) and dark urine, always require immediate medical evaluation.

Diagnosis
If liver cancer is suspected, a thorough medical examination be made. The doctor will examine the abdominal area to check for bumps, fluid or pain. Blood tests will be ordered to check liver function, and a CT scan will be performed to obtain detailed images of the liver and surrounding organs. Ultrasound, MRI and angiography may also be performed. If a tumor is found, a biopsy will be performed to diagnose the presence of malignant cells, and identify the specific type of cancer present.

Prevention / Solution
Early diagnosis of cancer liver is essential, since the liver cancer can be cured unless it is found early and before it spreads to other parts of the body. Liver cancer is usually treated with early surgery. The treatment of advanced stages of liver cancer focuses on slowing the disease and improves quality of life. Treatment options may include medication, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery. Treatment is individualized and based on the number, size and location of tumors, as well as the general condition and stage of liver cancer and general health the patient.
